Hi Joan,
I was in Hunan in 2006. to the list of excesses, I would add:
drving on the wrong side of the road (in traffic), and
going the wrong way around traffic circles. Ride carefully! Hopefully youo will not meet my driver!
It is nevertheless a great and interesting place. Enjoy your last few days in China.
